Competitions

A great way to get a start in the agriculture industry is by entering competitions that will help you to learn more about agriculture and give you something to rave about on your CV too!

TeenAg is a competition for Secondary School students who compete in their own mini version of the ANZ Young Farmer Contest at seven Regional Finals around the Country.

Hundreds of teenagers from all over New Zealand competed in the first ever season of TeenAg in 2011.

Teams of two compete in two parts: The Preliminaries see competitors race against the clock to complete all sorts of agricultural activities. The top seven teams from the Prelims then move onto The Race-off where they race against each other through a series of tasks, obstacles and problem solving challenges. The first three teams from each Regional Final are then invited to the Grand Final.

Entry to the TeenAg Competition is open to TeenAg Club Members – competitors need not be off a farm – they just need to have a love of the land and a can-do attitude.
