There are several competitions that you can enter in to either help you expand your skills or consolidate the ones you have and get your name out there in the industry.

The New Zealand Dairy Industry Awards attracts farmers from across the country, working in all levels of the dairy industry.

The awards showcase and support our passionate farmers of the future.

The Sharemilker/Equity Farmer of the Year, Farm Manager of the Year and Dairy Trainee of the Year competitions give entrants the chance to earn a regional or national title and to share in substantial regional and national prize pools.

FMG Young Farmer of the Year is New Zealand’s Ultimate Rural Challenge inspiring excellence, showcasing innovation and growing human capabilities. The FMG Young Farmer of the Year sets a benchmark of excellence for young people in the agricultural industry to achieve and aspire to. It is also an opportunity for agriculture to celebrate and reward its achievers and to showcase itself to the wider community.

The FMG Young Farmer of the Year portrays New Zealand agriculture as a professional, credible industry that provides a wealth of career opportunities and remains the cornerstone of the nation’s economy. It is a way to educate people about agriculture and to make rural life accessible for all - for many city people the one hour live televised show is one of their few rural experiences during the year.
