Early workforce (18 to 30)

"Starting to build my career."

By now you may be quite settled in your career and searching for ways to enhance your skills and to grow your networks within a primary industry. Or you may be looking at a career change to help you get ahead.

Either way, there are plenty of options out there for people in the Early Workforce to grow their career in the primary industries.

The Rural Business Network, funded by the Red Meat Profit Partnership and DairyNZ, brings farmers and rural business professionals together at regular events, with motivational speakers and inspiring topics. Through the sharing of ideas and innovative opportunities that these meetings provide, participants are likely to improve their on-farm productivity and increase their industry networks and collaboration with other like-minded individuals.  There are nine network hubs running throughout the country: Northland, Waikato, Gisborne, Hawkes Bay, Manawatu, Mid Canterbury, South Canterbury, Otago and Southland; with several new networks planned.
