This scholarship is funded from the Catalyst programme "Identification, evaluation and detection of biomarkers for lamb meat quality." We are looking for someone who has completed at least a Bachelor's degree with Honours in data science, or biology with a strong emphasis on data analysis, to work on a project using cutting edge analytical technology to understand meat physiology. The project will use mass spectrometry fingerprinting to discover novel markers of meat quality, and the student will use tools such as R and Simca to build models to discover the meat quality markers. The skills gained will be highly transferrable for both industry and future research.
