Research Forum 2018

Following the success of our inaugural research forum in 2017, PICA held its second research forum on 22nd November 2018.

The one-day forum was an opportunity to get up to date with the latest workforce analysis, research and initiatives to build New Zealand’s primary sector workforce. Alongside the latest facts and figures about our current workforce, one session focused on our future workforce with presenters sharing insights into Gen Z, Artificial Intelligence, career changers and transferability of skills.

Delegates heard first-hand about the initiatives that different organisations are successfully implementing to build human capability in our sector. A series of speakers shared their research and expertise, each followed by a Q&A session.

At the end of the forum, a panel of young professionals from our primary sectors shared their unique career stories with us – their career paths, insights and experience.
